This session is ideal for staff in care settings to be aware of the requirements around Do Not Attempt Resuscitation (DNAR) forms and RESPECT forms and how to respond in an emergency if a casualty has one of these.

Course Content

  • What is a DNAR form and what does it look like?
  • Who can complete a DNAR / RESPECT form?
  • What is a  RESPECT form, and what does it look like?
  • What to do if someone is unresponsive and not breathing and they have either a DNAR / RESPECT form
  • Circumstances in which DNAR / RESPECT forms would not apply.
