Booking Terms & Information

Process for delivering training

Our Trainers will arrive with you approx. 20 – 30 minutes before the course start time, in order to be able to unload any kit and set up for the session. If you have any concerns or questions on the morning of your course our office phone is 01603 574079 and will divert to a mobile outside of normal working hours. If the Trainer is held up or caught in traffic on route to you, we will always ask them to call so that we can keep you informed. We ask that delegates arrive 15 minutes prior to course start time to ensure readiness for a prompt start.

Adapting training to your organisation policies & procedures

If you have any policies that you feel would be relevant to the training that we are providing please feel free to email us a copy prior to the training taking place, so that we are able to ensure that the training is as bespoke to your service as possible. Equally, if there are areas within the training that you feel your staff require us to pay particular attention to, please do let us know. If we do not have your specific organisation policies / practices, we will teach best practice and refer delegates back to your policies and procedures.

If the course is a manual handling training course, whilst we do cover a wide range of equipment as standard, if you could please let us know which equipment you have in advance, we can ensure that this is included within the training. If we are using your equipment for courses such as manual handling this will be required to be up to the relevant safety standards such as LOLER inspection in date and in good working order etc.

All the information you provide will of course be kept confidential and destroyed when no longer required.

If you are booked onto an Open – Pre-planned course delegates will be given the opportunity to ask questions around adaptations to individual settings on the day so there will be no need to pre-send documents.

First Aid Training

For first aid training courses we ask that delegates wear appropriate clothing as they are going to be put into the recovery position and taking part in CPR as well as several other practical activities. Delegates will be required to complete 2 minutes of CPR on a manikin on the floor, if any delegates attending feel they are not going to be able to complete this, or any other part of the first aid training please let us know in advance so that we are able to discuss options. The best way to discuss would be via email to info@angliantraining.co.uk as then we are able to copy in the trainer delivering the course so that all parties are informed.

Please ensure we are informed of any medical conditions or pregnancy prior to the course start.

Live Fire Training

If we are delivering live fire training for you at your premises we require a suitable space the equivalent of 4 parked cars, which has vehicular access, has no overhanging trees and is not close to any buildings or vehicles, and relatively flat. If you are unsure whether your space is going to be suitable you can send us a photo to info@angliantraining.co.uk and we will be able to review and discuss with you.

Fire training with live fire, is dependent on weather conditions and the trainer will make a risk assessment on the day as to whether it is suitable to conduct the live fire aspect of the course. The trainer will require all delegates to have had a good understanding on the content that has been delivered throughout the theory side of the course to then conduct the practical aspect.

We ask that delegates wear suitable footwear for the live fire training.

The kit for the practical part of the live fire training will be set up at the beginning of the day, so we will require the area that the training is going to be taking place in to be secure / safe. If this is going to be an issue, please let us know as it may be that we can arrange a slightly longer break so that the kit is set up just before being used.

Accredited Sessions

For some of our accredited sessions it is a requirement that the delegates bring photo ID with them.

Venue

If we are coming to provide training at your venue, please could you advise us prior to us coming out to you if there is no parking available on site, so that the trainer can ensure that they find suitable alternative parking and allow enough time to get to you.

If you could please ensure that the room that the training is going to be provided in has enough chairs and is comfortable for the Delegates & Trainer to be able to get the most out of their training experience. If the course that you are having is a first aid training course, please ensure that there is enough room for the delegates to complete CPR / Move around on the floor to conduct practical aspects of the course.

We often use a mobile projector, this does not need very much space at all, and can usually project onto a relatively small, clear lightly coloured wall. If you do not have any clear wall space at all, that we can project onto in your training room, if you could please let us know we will then make other arrangements to ensure that delegates are able to see the course material throughout the course.

Attendance

The time of your course will be as per the booking confirmation email sent. We ask that all delegates arrive 15 minutes before the start time ready for a prompt start. If delegates arrive more than 15 minutes late without prior warning, it will be at the Trainers discretion as to whether they are able to join the session.

If attending a training session, it is essential that delegates are present for the entire duration of the course in order for it to be certificated.
