Specialist training for the care sector

As we originated in the care sector, with the company founded while our Director was a CQC-registered manager of a care service struggling to find good-quality training adapted to its individual needs, we fully understand the challenges facing the care sector, particularly around training.

We offer over 60 courses and often put together bespoke programmes for care services, frequently focused on key areas highlighted during inspections or identified as requiring further development.

We appreciate that staffing within a care service can be challenging, so we are flexible with course delivery and work around timings that best suit your team. Many of our care customers schedule a full day with the same session repeated in the morning and again in the afternoon to capture the largest number of team members possible.

All of our trainers have hands-on experience and can adapt sessions accordingly, delivering genuinely engaging training.

Care sector training FAQs

We understand that arranging training within care services comes with practical challenges, from staffing levels to space requirements. Below are some frequently asked questions, but our team is always happy to discuss your specific needs and find a solution that works for your service.

Get in touch

Do you come to our setting, or do we come to you?

We offer both options. Our most popular choice is in-house training, where our trainers come to your setting. We also run open courses for a number of subjects, which you are welcome to book onto.

We struggle to free up a large number of staff at any given time. How can you help?

For many of our courses, we can deliver the same session twice in one day, for example morning and afternoon, allowing you to split your staff team and train more people without significantly disrupting cover.

How much space do you need to deliver training in our service?

We do not require a large amount of space, provided there is room for everyone to sit and a plain wall or screen for projection. For some courses, such as First Aid, we may need additional space so delegates can practise CPR. If space is a concern, we are happy to discuss this with you.

Can we combine subjects?

Yes, we can deliver different subjects on the same day. For example, one session in the morning and another in the afternoon.

Why should we book with Anglian Training?

All of our trainers have hands-on experience, so you are not receiving tick-box training. Sessions are adapted to your setting and service users, helping to upskill your team and improve standards of care.

For example, during a First Aid course, if you told us you support a wheelchair user who is prone to choking, we would tailor the training to cover prevention, appropriate response, and any necessary adaptations specific to that individual.

Our office team is also happy to discuss your requirements and will make the booking process straightforward from start to finish.
